Hello,
In preparation for next year’s half-term, I thought it would be extra helpful to have the upcoming (confirmed) information ready for the children’s return to the classroom and to ensure as smooth as possible transition for Miss Lloyd starting in January. Here, you will find key information to help with next half-term:
- Children will need to bring their P.E. kits (only) back on the 05/01/26. P.E. days are yet to be confirmed due to timetabling.
- Any old reading books used over the holiday can be returned to school and new reading books will be distributed on Monday.
- Challenge Tree Books can be returned any time independently. However, we will still change these as a class on the Friday. Please ensure that if your child has not changed their book for a few weeks, that they are to bring their last book in to exchange it for a new one.
- Homework books will be returned with a new set of spellings, a maths task and the spelling menu as well as the maths KIRF. These books will still need to be brought back in on Mondays and will be handed back out on Tuesdays as per usual. The activities will be explained to the children beforehand. A weekly blog shall follow each week so please keep an eye out for this in case you have any questions.
- Reading Journeys will continue to be celebrated during assemblies (most Thursdays). Please encourage your child to record anything they have read at home.
- Doodlemaths and Doodlespell assignments have been set up until February half-term and so these will be ongoing. Please ensure your child is accessing these weekly.
