We have had a wonderful week of learning in Sparrow Class!
In English, the children have been working hard on story innovation. We changed the traditional tale The Three Billy Goats Gruff into our own version called The Three Pink Pigs Oink! The children loved acting out the story using big voices, expressive actions, and plenty of imagination.
In Maths, we explored doubling in our number lessons, using practical resources to help us spot patterns and work out double facts. In our shape session, we investigated 2D faces on 3D shapes and hunted for circles, squares, rectangles and triangles.
In our Topic lessons, our theme this week has been Growing Plants. The children created beautiful sunflower pots and planted their own sunflower seeds. These have been sent home as a special gift for Mother’s Day. The children are very excited to look after their seeds and watch their sunflowers grow over the next few weeks.
