We have had a busy start to this half-term! We have kick-started our Science and Geography topics and have enjoyed reading our class text called Cosmic! In English, we have produced some space-themed poems using metaphors and have been learning all about how to create suspense in a tale of fear.
In Science, we have been learning all about the solar system and the movement of the Earth. At the start of this half-term, we constructed a scaled-down version of the solar system using Astronomical Units!
In Geography, we have been learning all about biomes. Last week, the children learned about lines of longitude and latitude. We then used maps and overlays to locate different biomes using longitude and latitude.
