Hello all,
Below is a summary of this week’s homework.
Spelling
This year we have moved from SpellingShed/EdShed to DoodleSpell. You will need to download the DoodleSpell app, but you can use the same log in details as for Doodlemaths.
We encourage regular practice of our weekly spelling words using both the handwriting sheets sent home and by completing assignments on DoodleSpell. This weeks spelling rule is: Suffix -er, -ed, -ing.
Our spelling quizzes will be every Monday morning.
Reading
There has been a change to reading homework for 2026. Children should have come home with their new reading homework booklet, which explains what to do.
Each time children read at home, they can colour one of the books on the bookshelf. When the children have completed a row of books on their bookshelf, they can bring their booklet back into school in return for a stamp on their chart and a shoutout in assembly!
Maths
Please regularly log in to doodlemaths to complete assignments set, which will relate to learning in the classroom. The children also have access to DoodleTables – which helps support times table practice.
KIRFs are what we will be learning this half-term – it would be beneficial to practice these facts, so the children become fluent.
