Welcome back!
We hope you’ve all had a wonderful break and that everyone is enjoying their first week back at school. The children have settled in beautifully and are already working hard.
Reading
The children have swapped their reading books this week. Please try to read the new book together at home as often as possible. Even just 5–10 minutes a day makes a huge difference to their confidence, fluency and understanding.
Book Changing Days:

Reading books will now be changed on Tuesday afternoons.

Challenge Tree books will be changed on Fridays.
Maths
This week in maths we have started learning about metres and centimetres. Please complete the worksheet in your child’s homework book. This will help to reinforce their understanding of measuring and comparing lengths using metres and centimetres.
Spelling
This week we are focusing on the /u/ sound spelt with ‘o’.
Our spelling words are: other, mother, brother, nothing, Monday, money, cover, honey, discover and wonder.
The spelling test will take place on Monday 02.03.26.
