What a fantastic week with the concerts week. We are immensely proud of all the children for joining in – we have some wonderful singers and dancers in Year One. Well done.
With this being our final week, I have not set any spellings as we will be reviewing all the words learnt this term so it will be a revision week. Please use doodle spell to help work on previous words.
Reading: Please ask your child to read and re-read the books from school. Re-reading is a key element to your child making the pathways to learn the sounds and words. Next week, as usual, we will swap books on Monday and Thursday – we will ensure you have books for the holiday. Please note the Christmas themed reading journey in your packs and use this to help keep busy over the holiday. Please ensure your child has their books to return in their hand so that we can quickly receive those in the morning. Thank you for reminding your child to carry their water bottles to help us avoid spillages and water damage.
Maths: Please login to doodle and complete your daily quick fire questions plus any assignments you have outstanding.
Topic homework: Please ensure this is returned tomorrow so that we can celebrate the last pieces that come in. It has been great to see so many creative and different approaches to this – we have loved them all.
