Happy Science Week!

It’s Science Week this week and I am so excited about all the fantastic activities we have planned! A big thank you to everyone who has sent in their egg buggies for our Science Competition on Wednesday. We’re really excited to see all the creative designs and find out which ones can protect their eggs the best!

Reading

  • Reading books will be changed on Tuesday afternoon.

  • Challenge Tree books will be changed on Friday afternoon.

Maths

This week we have started a new maths unit all about mass, capacity and temperature. The children will be learning how to measure, compare and talk about different amounts through a range of practical activities.

This week’s homework focuses on comparing the mass of different objects using balance scales. This is a worksheet activity. They will look at the scales shown and decide which objects are heavier or lighter.

Spelling

This week we are focusing on the /o/ sound spelt with ‘a’ after a ‘w’ or ‘qu’.

Our spelling words are: want, watch, wander, quantity, squash, quality, squabble, squad, quad, quarrel.

The spelling test will take place on Monday 16.03.26.

Thank you!

Thank you again for your ongoing support. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to speak to us.
