Not too long to now! The children have been working so hard and are very ready for a holiday. During this time of year, a lot of emotions run high due to over tiredness and excitement. Therefore, please continue to have those conversations with your child at home about kind voices and being extra patient with one another for these last two weeks. These discussions really do make all the difference.
This week, there are no spellings to learn for next Monday. Instead, there is a Christmas word search and two small maths tasks. Please do continue with Doodlemaths assignments.
Homework books are still expected to be brought back in next Monday to be marked and I shall stick in some Christmas worksheets to keep learning fresh and fun for over the holiday. Please return these on January 5th as the homework books shall continue in the new year.
As always, if your child does not hand their book back in time, I shall hand out their worksheet copies instead but these will still need to be completed and then stuck in at home ready for the following Monday. Any previous homework tasks that have been completed, will be marked the following week.
Please continue using Doodlespell and Doodlemaths. As a class, we look at the leaderboard each week and stamps are awarded to children who have been able to remain on green. Keep going with reading at home too. We wouldn’t want any children to fall behind. Furthermore, continue listening to your child read their school books at least three times a week to support speed and fluency.
Any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
