Happy first week back! Every week, you will find the class homework blog to remind you of the expectations regarding what is to be completed before Monday.
Most tasks should be independent to complete but now and again your child may need some extra support depending on what has been set. In their homework book, you will see a topic sheet that has six suggested activities. Your child is expected to complete at least two of their choice before October half-term. They are welcome to share their creations either during ‘Show and Tell’ Fridays (via images sent to the school office or of physical things to bring in – if they’re not too big). Try not to complete any ‘Show and Tell’ things in the homework book due to these being returned to you by Tuesday. This just saves you bringing it back in for the Friday.
Continuous support at home makes a massive difference within their confidence and learning at school. You will find their spelling activity and either an English/Reading or Maths-based activity for your child to complete.
Spellings will eventually be removed from Spelling Shed (if not already) and access will shortly be no longer due to moving to a new spelling website this September. Therefore, make the most of the copies sent home each Tuesday. More information to follow regarding the new website soon.
Doodlemaths is still up and running and new assignments have been set. Therefore, your child’s login details from Year One are the same and can still be used to complete activities for this week.
Any questions, please do not hesitate to ask! Hopefully, your questions will be answered during the Base One Meeting on 09.09.25 at 5pm. I hope you are able to make it.
Many thanks,
Miss Jackson
