Dear Parents,

We’ve had a fantastic term so far in Year 3, and we wanted to share some highlights of what the children have been learning and what exciting events are on the horizon.

Science

Our topic has been Forces, and the children have really enjoyed exploring how friction works. We carried out an investigation using toy cars on different surfaces to see which created the most friction. The children made predictions, tested their ideas, and recorded their results like real scientists!

Art

In Art, we’ve been practicing our sketching skills in preparation for an exciting project: embossing The Iron Man onto foil. This activity will allow the children to combine their drawing techniques with a creative, hands-on process.

Spanish

In Spanish lessons, we’ve been learning the names of different animals. The children have been practicing pronunciation and even using the words in simple sentences—¡muy bien!

Upcoming Events

  • Friday 5th DecemberJingle Jog at Rushcliffe Country Park. Please make sure your child is dressed warmly and ready for some festive fun!
  • Christmas Concert – We’re already practicing for our performance, and we can’t wait to share it with you in a few weeks. More details will follow soon.
