We have begun our Hola México topic for this half term by exploring the country of México as geographers, using digital mapping tools to help us get a real feel for the country. We have also studied some of the traditions and cultural influences of the country, exploring poems about día de los muertos and then writing our own, along with creating our own calveras, the decorated skulls, to celebrate this fiesta. We also applied our learning of the different poetic techniques to some poetry on the theme of bonfire night.
