I hope you all had a restful half-term with friends and family. The children have come back to school with big smiles on their faces and have had a brilliant start to this half-term already!

Thank you for your ongoing support regarding your child’s homework books and ensuring they engage with the worksheets set over the holidays. Please continue to help your child (if needed) when completing homework tasks going forward as this will not only build their confidence within their learning but strongly benefit their progress and understanding at school too.

I have provided the new spellings for the next spelling test (10.11.25) in the homework books. Please make sure your child is accessing their Doodlespell assignments as well as their Doodlemaths too. Teachers are able to analyse data from each child and so we encourage all children to commit to using the website in order to not fall behind within these two areas.

This half-term’s topic work is science-based as science is our driver up until Christmas. Although we are now focusing on materials, the homework is more for retrieval from last half-term in order for the children to not forget what we have already learned. This is stuck into your child’s homework book along with the two independent activities to be completed by the 10.11.25.

Many thanks,

Miss Jackson
