What a busy half term of setting into school we have had! The children have done so well and have engaged in so many different activities. In topic we have been learning all about ourselves and each other by looking at our similarities, differences, families, community, friends and feelings. We also began our investigations of the seasons by exploring at the changes that happen in autumn. We used our collections of autumn leaves to print with and create collages.

As you know,  we spent time learning to retell the story ‘Rosie’s Walk’. From this we modified it and then invented our own class story, ‘ Harry’s Scamper’. We had great fun sharing our invented stories with our Year 6 buddies.

As well as all of that, we have been learning sounds, exploring shapes and numbers, taking part in forest school, music and PE lessons as well as creating a class piece of art inspired by the artist Wassily Kandinsky!

Here are a few pictures of the some of the fun activities the children have enjoyed.
