Below is a summary for parents of this week’s homework.

Spelling

This year we have moved from SpellingShed/EdShed to DoodleSpell. You will need to download the DoodleSpell app, but you can use the same log in details as for Doodlemaths.

We encourage regular practice of our weekly spelling words using both the handwriting sheets sent home and by completing assignments on DoodleSpell. This weeks spelling rule is: /a/ sound spelt using ‘ai’.

Our spelling quizzes will be every Monday morning.

Wk3 Spellings

Reading

Children received their new Reading Homework Journal on Friday, which will need completing weekly. Please could this be returned to school on Thursday.

This will consist of two parts:

Part 1 = 1x entry in their new Reading Journal of their response to the question from the Book Club lesson.
Part 2 = a reading log of what they are reading with you at home.

Regular reads and re-reads are so important at home.

Maths

Please regularly log in to doodlemaths to complete assignments set, which will relate to learning in the classroom.

KIRFs are what we will be learning this half-term – it would be beneficial to practice these facts, so the children become fluent.
