🏅 Healthy Living 2025 – A Week of Fun, Fitness, and Friendship!
This week, our school has been buzzing with energy and excitement as we celebrated Healthy Living 2025! It was a fantastic opportunity for all our pupils to get active, try new things, and work together in the spirit of teamwork and fun.
⚽ Monday – Football Frenzy
We kicked off the week with a lively football session on Monday afternoon. Pupils showed off their dribbling, passing, and teamwork skills in a fun and friendly game that got everyone moving and smiling.
🤝 Tuesday – Teamwork and Wellbeing
Tuesday was packed with variety! We started the day with team-building activities, encouraging pupils to collaborate and communicate. This was followed by an exciting session of wheelchair basketball, where children gained a new perspective and had a great time trying something different. We ended the morning with classroom yoga, helping everyone to stretch, relax, and reset. Afterwards, we learned some important life skills in a First Aid workshop, where pupils practised how to help others safely and confidently.
🏃 Wednesday – Sports Day Spectacular
Wednesday was our big Sports Day, and what a day it was! The morning was filled with thrilling races, with pupils cheering each other on and celebrating every effort. In the afternoon, we rotated through Potted Sports stations, giving everyone a chance to try a range of fun challenges and games.
🥌 Thursday – New Skills and Safety
On Thursday afternoon, pupils enjoyed a session of New Age Kurling, a fun and inclusive game that everyone could enjoy.
🤸 Friday – Finishing Strong
We wrapped up the week with a burst of energy! Pupils took part in a gymnastics session, exploring balance, movement, and coordination. Then came the grand finale: the Big School Run! It was wonderful to see so many children running, jogging, or walking together to celebrate a week of movement and achievement.
🌟 A Week to Remember
Sports Week was a brilliant success, filled with laughter, learning, and lots of physical activity. A huge thank you to all the staff, pupils, and families who supported the week and helped make it so special. We’re already looking forward to next year!
