Open Evening – Wednesday 11th November 2026, 5.00–6.00pm

Is your child due to start Reception in September 2027? Choosing the right school is an important decision, and we’d love to welcome you to Crossdale Primary School to see what makes our school such a special place to learn, grow and thrive.

Our Open Evening is particularly aimed at families looking for a Reception place for September 2027, but all families interested in joining our school community are very welcome, including those considering places in other year groups or our nursery provision.

Discover What Makes Crossdale Shine!

Come and experience our warm, welcoming school for yourself. During the evening, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a short presentation, explore our classrooms on a guided tour, meet our dedicated staff and chat with some of our pupils.

You’ll also discover more about:

  • A happy and confident start to school – how we help children settle into Reception, make friends and develop a love of learning.
  • Excellent teaching and learning – including how we develop enthusiastic readers and confident mathematicians.
  • A caring and nurturing environment – where children’s happiness, well-being and individual needs matter.
  • Exciting opportunities beyond the classroom – including clubs, trips, residentials and enrichment activities.
  • Support for every child – including children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and those learning English as an additional language (EAL).
  • Our school community – how we work closely with parents and carers to help every child flourish.

There will also be time to ask questions, meet other families and enjoy some light refreshments.

Can’t Make the Open Evening?

We know that choosing a school is a big decision, and you may prefer to visit when things are a little quieter. We’re always happy to arrange a personal tour so you can explore Crossdale, ask questions and find out more about what we offer.

Looking for Nursery Provision?

We also have provision for 2- and 3-year-olds on our school site. Whether you’re looking for an early years place now or planning ahead, we’d be delighted to tell you more.

We’d Love to Meet You!

Whether your child is taking their first steps into school in September 2027 or you’re considering Crossdale for another stage of their education, we look forward to welcoming you.
