PE and Swimming
This term, our PE lessons will take place on Wednesdays.
Class swimming will take place on a Thursday afternoon.
Please ensure your child comes to school in their PE kit on both of these days and has their swimming kit for Thursday afternoons.
Homework in Year 3
Just a reminder about homework activities in Year 3:
- Doodle Maths: One homework task will be set each Friday and should be completed by the following Friday.
- Doodle Spell: A spelling assignment will be set each Monday and should be completed by the following Monday.
- Spelling columns: Children will be sent home with a booklet containing all of the Year 3 spellings for this half-term. They can practice them using their spelling columns with ‘Look, cover, say, write, check’.
- Reading: Regular reading at home is one of the most important ways you can support your child’s learning. If your child has finished their reading book then please let me know and they can swap it for a new one. They will also have regular opportunities to choose books from our exciting Year 3 Challenge Tree!
- DoodleTables: I will also set a DoodleTables assignment weekly. This is not compulsory but is an optional extra homework task to encourage children to practice their times tables.
