We were delighted to welcome athlete Joel Fearon to Crossdale this week for an exciting and inspiring day of fitness, perseverance and fun.

Joel spoke to the children about his journey as a professional sprinter, sharing how determination, resilience and hard work helped him achieve success in athletics. The pupils were fascinated to hear about his experiences competing at the highest level and learned that achieving goals often requires commitment and a positive attitude.

In the afternoon, the children put their energy to the test by taking part in a fun exercise circuit. They completed a range of activities, including star jumps, burpees and planks, challenging themselves to stay active and give their best effort. The playground was filled with enthusiasm as pupils encouraged one another and showed excellent determination throughout the session.

Many children also secured sponsorships for taking part in the challenge, helping to raise valuable funds while promoting healthy lifestyles. We would like to thank all of our families and supporters for their generosity.

The day was a fantastic opportunity for pupils to be active, learn about the importance of perseverance and be inspired by a professional athlete. A huge thank you to Joel Fearon for visiting Crossdale and motivating our children to aim high, work hard and believe in themselves. We are sure the day will be remembered for a long time to come!
