Reading
Reading books have been handed out this morning.
Please could you bring these books back this Thursday as new ones will be handed out.
Challenge Tree Books:
Last week, the children visited our Challenge Tree Library for the first time. Every Friday, the children have the opportunity to choose a book to take home and enjoy reading with their grown-ups.
Each Friday, children can bring their book back and swap it for a new one. If they are enjoying a longer book and would like more time to finish it, they can renew it for another week.
This is a lovely way to encourage children to enjoy reading and choose books that interest them.
Maths
This week, we will be continuing our unit all about place value. This week’s maths homework will focus on recognising how many tens and how many ones are in a number.
Spelling
This week we are focusing on the /r/ sound spelt using ‘wr’. Spelling words for this week: write, wrong, wreck, wren, written, wrap, wrestle, wrote, wrist, wriggle.
The spelling test will take place on Monday 21st September.
