We have been incredibly busy in Year 3 getting creative in preparation for the Keyworth Show, and we are so excited to share what we have been working on!

Our focus in art has been pointillism, a technique where pictures are created using lots of small dots. The children were inspired by famous artists who used this style and loved exploring how simple dots can come together to form detailed and colourful images.

Using a range of different tools, the children experimented with ways to create their dots—some used paintbrushes, cotton buds and other creative methods to achieve different effects. They carefully thought about colour choice, spacing and how to build up their images layer by layer. It was fantastic to see their patience and creativity shine through.

The final pieces look absolutely amazing! Each artwork is unique, full of colour and detail, and really shows the effort and pride the children have put into their work. We are incredibly proud of them and, who knows—we may even have a few winners this year!

Make sure you get yourself down to the Keyworth Show to see their fantastic artwork on display. We are sure you will be just as impressed as we are!
