Reading
Reading books will be changed on Tuesday afternoon.
Challenge Tree books will be changed on Friday afternoon.
Maths
This week, we are starting a new unit in maths. The children will be learning how to tell the time. This week’s maths homework will support the children’s understanding of this topic (o’clock and half past).
Spelling
This week we are focusing on common exception words. Spelling words for this week: any, water, beautiful, poor, many, pretty, busy, kind, clothes, Christmas.
Please keep practicing these over the half term. The spelling test will take place the first week back.
Book Returns
Just a little reminder to please return any old school reading books you may still have at home. Our classroom shelves are starting to look a little empty, and we would love to have the books back so they can be enjoyed by everyone again.
Phonics and Reading
Please keep an eye out for an email from me later this week. I will be sending an update about your child’s reading and phonics progress following the assessments we have completed over the last couple of weeks.
This information will help support you in knowing how best to help your child with their reading at home.
