A quick post to say that this term, the children will be given the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the Year 5 Statutory spelling list through our Spelling Bee quizzes and class fun.
Whilst still practicing our regular, weekly spellings which follow structured spelling rule practice, our Spelling Bee will be a list of 10 words from the statutory list to keep our spelling knowledge as sharp as possible! Going forward, we will introduce new words on a Friday and test the following Friday. However, for this week only, I have introduced the words today for a test on Friday. Here are this week’s words to practice: Spelling Bee Year 5 Week 1. I will send these home tomorrow.
The test will be done in a fun way, involving different games and group tasks!
