Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful, restful and enjoyable Christmas break. We have missed the children and are very excited to be back.
This week, your child has been provided with their two homework tasks – one on spelling and one maths. If your child handed in their homework book before Christmas, then they will come home on Tuesday with their tasks. Please make sure your child returns their book back to school if they accidentally left it at home over the Christmas holidays, so we can stick in their new homework. Please do continue with Doodlemaths and Doodlespell assignments already set.
Homework books are still expected to be brought back in next Monday. As always, if your child does not hand their book back in time, I shall hand out their worksheet copies instead but these will still need to be completed and then stuck in at home ready for the following Monday. Any previous homework tasks that have been completed, will be marked the following week.
Please continue using Doodlespell and Doodlemaths. As a class, we look at the leaderboard each week and stamps are awarded to children who have been able to remain on green. Keep going with reading at home too. We wouldn’t want any children to fall behind. Furthermore, continue listening to your child read their school books at least three times a week to support speed and fluency.
Any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
