Fire Safety

A message from Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service...

Bonfire Night and the days surrounding it are notoriously busy for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service. Usually, we would advise people to attend a professionally organised firework display, because we know they are safer with very few significant injuries occurring and appropriate first aid available on site.

However, with the pandemic and current Government restrictions on social gatherings dampening the flames of many organised Bonfire Night displays, we are concerned by the likely increase in home displays and potential for an increase in associated incidents involving young people.

As such please ensure you take extra care this year if you are having fireworks at home and please share these safety videos and poster attached below with your child/children https://www.rospa.com/home-safety/Advice/Fireworks-Safety
