Leavers' Assembly / Leavers' Party / TTRS / Etc.
A few reminders about this week.
Many thanks to all of you who were able to come to our Leavers' Assembly this afternoon. It was great to see you all and I hope you enjoyed it. I really enjoyed being able to tell everyone how amazing my class have been!
Report Reply Slips
Thanks also to all of you who have returned the report reply slips (on the back of the letter in the report envelope). These are really useful for us, so if you could try to get them in for the end of the week, we'd be very appreciative.
Work / Books etc
I'm going to try to send work home tomorrow. (I'll aspire to buy 23 big carrier bags from Sainsbury's tomorrow, but it's helpful if the children can bring one in. If we could try to get any school books back into school as well please. (Including Mr Wallis's chess books!)
Times Tables Rock Stars Day
On Thursday, to hopefully inspire everyone for the summer, we are having a TTRS day in school. We've asked the children to come to school in their most rawk and roll(!) clothes - or non-uniform. We'll be practising on TTRS in class before having an air guitar competition and head-to-head play off in the hall in the afternoon! \m/ \m/
After school on Thursday, we will have a party for our Y6 leavers. We'll go outside and play some games immediately after school, before the children are able to have a barbecued burger, sausage, veggie sausage, veggie burger. After that we'll have a water fight on the field. It would be great if the children could bring in water pistols, water ballons, super squirters etc as well as, if possible, large plastic buckets (trugs / Gorilla buckets?) which we use to create a reservoir on the field.
If you wanted to watch the water fight - from a safe (dry) distance - please come up to school for 4:45ish.
Please also make sure that your child has a change of clothes & footwear / towel etc.
Get in touch if you have any questions.
