A huge well done to the Year 6 ‘Hungry Bubble’ who have made a super return to school this week.  Mrs Jones and I were excited to venture up to the dizzy heights of Year 6 and have been really impressed with how all the children have taken the new rules and routines in their stride.  It has been lovely getting to know the children better and support them whilst Mr McKenna is away.  We will be keeping him informed of all the progress they are making and the fun we will be having!

The children have been busy learning about algebra in Maths, descriptive writing in English, e-safety in ICT and the Anglo Saxons in History.  They have used their Creative Thinker skills to design a buckle or brooch which they will make out of clay in the next few weeks. Their designs so far have been excellent! We have also been using the new PSHE Jigsaw resource (more information on the Wellbeing blog).  It has been good to chat about our experiences in lockdown and how we all feel about coming back to school.  A few comments were that of feeling a little more tired and a little more hungry than before as the children are unable to have a lie in or raid the food cupboards at home when they fancied!  It wouldn’t show though as they have all worked really hard and supported each other this week.

Well done all of you for a super first week back!  Have a lovely relaxing weekend!
