super science week!

We have had a super science week. The children have been really enthusiastic and have engaged in lots of different activities. The launch assembly last week from ‘Fizz Pop’ was exactly that! We were wowed by the exciting experiments and even fire! It set us up perfectly.
As part of our growing topic, we have been investigating plants. We have had seeds to plant, flowers to dissect and made observations using magnifying glasses.
The children loved making and testing paper aeroplanes. There was much thought into how they could make them stronger, faster and fly further. This was part of our whole school flying machine investigation.
We finished the week with a visit from Jenni, from ‘Wild Things’. She is a local hedgehog expert. She gave us lots of interesting facts about hedgehogs and ideas about how we can look after them in the garden. She also mentioned if you would like to track local hedgehogs at home, she recommended the website Hedgehog Street, which also has lots of Hedgehog information.
