The Police are people who help us!
We were extremely lucky to have a visit from the Police for our People Who Help Us topic. The Robins were lovely in welcoming PC Kelly Carlile and PCSO Lee Sampson to the classroom. The children were so surprised and extremely excited to see them. Kelly gave us a fantastic talk about all the different ways the police can help us. She told us about the police uniform and the things they need to do their job. The children tried on the hats and held the heavy baton. Mrs Payne was even handcuffed! Luckily, she wasn’t in any real trouble and was quickly set free! The Robins then went outside to see the patrol vehicle. We all had a chance to sit inside and we checked out all the equipment they carry. Kelly then put all the lights on and turned on the siren. It was VERY loud! The children loved learning about the police, and we send a huge thank you to Kelly and Lee for giving us some of their valuable time to visit us. Hopefully, we have future officers amongst us!
Have a look at some of the photos of the visit.
