Little pig, little pig

One of our favourite stories we shared this half term was the story of the Three Little Pigs. We have really got involved with learning about the traditional tale, from making houses out of natural materials, to playing in the small world farm, making little pig playdough, to building junk modelling houses and seeing if the Big Bad Wolf (the hairdryer!) could blow them down.

We were engineers, and designed then created houses to keep out the Big Bad Wolf. The children came up with ideas such as protecting the house with castle walls and making traps. Because of their great creativity, problem solving skills and enthusiasm, we even had a special visit from Mr Cresswell and Mrs Westie to bring us some well done treats!

The children would be brilliant at retelling the story to you at home!
