    Hello,

Here is your weekly post with general messages and reminders for the week including information about homework.

*Tomorrow is the start of anti-bullying week. Children can wear odd socks all week.

*There will be a blog on shortly to share our new Y1 maths KIRFS for this half-term - these are the maths number facts in focus for this half-term.

*Your 'special homework' for this week can be found in your child's homework book that I will send home, as usual, on Tuesday.

*Spelling activity this week is linked to week 2 of autumn 2 words: (ay and oy) play, way, stay, today, says, boy, toy, enjoy, annoy, royal. Please remember to use Spelling Shed, too! I know the children enjoy learning in this interactive, fun way.

*Please listen to your child read at least 3 time a week. New books will come home with you on Monday and Thursday.  Please send in any books to be returned on Mondays and Thursdays as well so that we can re-stock our shelves.

*Try to stay in the green zone on doodle by completing your '5 a day' and your assignments.

*Please ensure your forest schools kit including wellies are in school on Mondays and that PE kit is in school on Mondays and Fridays. We are not doing forest schools this half term but we will still seek out opportunities to use the outdoor space when we can - sometimes we have to wrap up for playtimes so please leave it in school for this.

    See you on Monday!

    Hello,

Here is your weekly post with general messages and reminders for the week including information about homework.

*As we start a new half term, there is a new topic homework linked to castles for your child to do. Please choose one of these activities and send it in via their homework book (homework tasks can be found on the new half term overview blog and I will send home a paper copy on Tuesday as well!)

*Your 'special homework' for this week can be found in your child's homework book that I will send home, as usual, on Tuesday.

*Spelling activity this week is linked to week 1 of autumn 2 words: (ai and oi graphemes) rain, wait, train, paid, afraid, oil, join, coin, point, soil. Please remember to use Spelling Shed, too! I know the children enjoy learning in this interactive, fun way.

*Please listen to your child read at least 3 time a week. New books will come home with you on Monday and Thursday - I am sure you are ready to change them after the holidays! Please send in any books to be returned on Mondays and Thursdays as well so that we can re-stock our shelves.

*Try to stay in the green zone on doodle by completing your '5 a day' and your assignments. There will be some new activities on there that we have set soon, but don't forget to also check out the games in the games section!
