Homework Blog WB 29.04.24

Hello,

Hello and welcome to your weekly homework / information blog.

*Your 'special homework' this week is linked to our learning in science; talking about the properties of materials around the house - ideally this will be practical and not writing or book heavy and is more of a conversation than a written task. For example - you might notice houses as you walk past in the morning; bricks are strong, glass (windows, drinking glasses etc) are transparent as well as fragile and so on. I look forward to seeing what you have at home and the properties!

*Spelling activity this week is linked to week 1: /or/ and /oor/  - for, short, born, horse, morning, more, score, before, wore, shore. There are games that you can play on Spelling Shed to link to these words and I have included a wordsearch.

*Please listen to your child read at least 3 times a week. New books will come home with you on Monday and Thursday.  Please send in any books to be returned on Mondays and Thursdays as well so that we can re-stock our shelves (thank you!).

*Try to stay in the green zone on doodle by completing your '5 a day' and your assignments. Great work again, Starlings - you are magnificent mathematicians.
