Homework Post 20/11/23

Hello,

Here is your weekly post with general messages and reminders for the week including information about homework.

*You will have noticed the new Roots to Reading book that came home with your child last week. We hope you find it a useful book to refer to for phonics and reading. There are some Reading Journeys there which link to each topic - we expect children to complete these approximately every half-term. We know some children read more than this, so please feel free to make your own and record in this way if you do. We would like to try and keep on the current topics which fit each half term, so please don't go further on than this.

*Your 'special homework' for this week can be found in your child's homework book that I will send home, as usual, on Tuesday.

*Spelling activity this week is linked to week 3 of autumn 2 words: (oa sound) goal, coach, own, snow, grow, toes, goes, go, no, so. Spelling Shed is set up with the new words for playing games from today.

*Please listen to your child read at least 3 time a week. New books will come home with you on Monday and Thursday.  Please send in any books to be returned on Mondays and Thursdays as well so that we can re-stock our shelves.

*Try to stay in the green zone on doodle by completing your '5 a day' and your assignments.

*Please ensure your forest schools kit including wellies are in school on Mondays and that PE kit is in school on Mondays and Fridays. We are not doing forest schools this half term but we will still seek out opportunities to use the outdoor space when we can - sometimes we have to wrap up for playtimes so please leave it in school for this.

See you on Monday!
