Happy half-term!!! Thank you again for your ongoing support since the we have come back from the  Christmas holidays - which seem so long ago now! The children are very much ready for a few late morning lie-ins. I know I am.

Please take a look at the children's learning this half-term. They have thoroughly enjoyed the topics learnt so far and are looking forward for what's to come. Have a read of the next blog post which shares the latest news and key information for when we return on the 19.02.24. I would like to note that I will not be in on the first day back as unfortunately, I am attending a funeral. The children have been made aware of this today.

Have an amazing half-term holiday and see you all soon!

  • HOMEWORK OF THE WEEK (05.02.24)

    Published 02/02/24, by Rosie Jackson

It's the last week of half-term! Thank you for your ongoing support to complete home learning. It's been wonderful to see the many creations the children share with us.

Please find attached this week's spellings for next Monday's spelling test (19.02.24). For this week, your child has one spelling activity handwriting sheet (to be completed independently) and a Maths revision activity which shouldn't take your child too long to finish and complete (the majority of it) independently. Please continue with reading at home as well as Doodlemaths and Spelling Shed for a few minutes at a time. I shall be looking at top Doodlers again the week we are back. Again, most of these online tasks are set so your child is able to complete these by themselves.

Also, please encourage your child to write about their half-term holiday in their homework books. We all really enjoy listening to the cool activities that each other have been up to.  This task also keeps your child's writing skills fresh. Ensure your child checks their writing makes sense, full stops, capital letters and finger spaces are included in the correct place.

    Have a great week!

  • HOMEWORK OF THE WEEK (18.12.23)

    Published 15/12/23, by Rosie Jackson

Please find attached this week's spellings for the next spelling test (08.01.24). I thought I would send these in preparation for the holidays (ALL online) but also give you some extra time to learn these due to the hectic time of year. I appreciate you will all be rushed off your feet and the Christmas chaos will be ongoing, therefore to make things easier I haven't stuck in any sheets. However, please do try to continue keeping your child's learning fresh where you are able to, even if it is slightly different and Christmas-themed (reading books etc.). Keep going with the Doodle Maths activities already set and Spelling Shed now that I have uploaded the new spellings attached/online. I have also provided some children with Phonics link videos to interact with, as well as a Christmas-themed handwriting pack to help support presentation. Lastly, do encourage your child to write a Christmas diary (this is why their homework book has been sent back home) of their magical time shared with friends and family as we would love to hear some of the exciting things the children got up to.

Have a great last (short) week.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

    - Miss Jackson
