Y1 & 2 DT Day - Structures

We had the most fantastic Design and Technology day on Thursday this week. Inspired by our history topic of the Great Fire of London, we researched, designed and then made structures of Tudor houses. Answering the question 'How can we make our structures strong and stable?' we learnt how to join card in different ways to help create our box models.

It was a great day and the children did brilliantly, using their Team Worker Keys, to make an entire row of Tudor houses! It was as if we had travelled back in time to Pudding Lane, London 1666!

A huge thank you to all the grown-ups that gave up their afternoon to help - we really couldn't do it without you!
