Spelling Bee - coming to Crossdale!

We are excited to announce that after half-term, Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 will be taking part in our first ever Crossdale spelling challenge. Teachers will share the words with you for the half-term holiday and the idea is that children learn these before being tested on them after the break. There will then be further rounds for children to take part in before we have our finals! We will keep you updated on the progress of this challenge, and we will ensure you have a few weeks in between rounds to learn the words.

The words come directly from the National Curriculum, linking to the year your child is in, and you might spot some from previous weeks of learning. We will, of course, celebrate everybody's effort in being part of this special event.

Look out for the list of words for your child to learn in the week leading up to half-term and get spelling!
