Spelling Information for Y6 SATs

Hello all, ahead of our SATs assessments in May, I have attached here the spelling booklets that the children received when we were working on the Spelling Bee during the spring term. These booklets contain the different spelling rules that will be assessed in their SATs spelling test on the 10th May. 

In addition to the spelling rules, the children will also be assessed on the statutory spelling words from Y3/4 and Y5/6. A handful of these will appear in the test. I have sent home paper copies of these statutory spelling words and attached them to this blog post too.

The spelling test is composed of 20 different words, each read out in the context of a sentence. I have also attached a past spelling test script (the sentences to be read out are on p5 and 6 of the pdf) so that you can see what the test will be like.
