The children have had a great start to the new term and have been very excited about our topic 'Fire Damp and Davy Lamp'. We are going to be exploring why mining was so important in the UK and Nottinghamshire and learn all about what life was like as a coal miner. We will be using our geographical skills to read maps to locate coal mines in Nottinghamshire and the UK!
Our science topic this half-term is all about the changes that materials can go through. We will be carrying out experiments to understand how materials change and looking at reversible and non-reversible changes.
At the start of each half-term we will upload an overview of learning and at the end of each half term we will upload some pictures of our fantastic learning!
