Summer 1 Learning

Our Y3 learning journey for Summer 1

Let’s travel back to prehistoric times!

This half-term we’re going to find a prehistoric site in our local area by studying maps and researching online. Through our research, we’ll learn about the Stone Age, the Bronze Age and the Iron Age. What were people’s daily lives like? How did technology develop during these periods?

Using paints and pastels we’ll also be designing Stone Age cave markings in art. In science, we’ll plant grains and learn about plant life cycles. In English, we will be focusing on stories from different cultures and in Maths we will be looking at fractions and Money. We will round this amazing topic off by visiting Ravenstor for our Year 3/4 Residential!

Please see attached below our curriculum map, knowledge organisers, spelling overview and topic homework for this upcoming half-term.
