  • Online Reading Lessons This Week

    Published 19/04/20, by Claire Jones

This week there are 4 free reading lessons taught by a teacher via her youtube channel. The lessons will focus on vocabulary, retrieval and inference. You can access the resources free of charge from her website https://theteachhub.co.uk/product/yr-1-and-2-home-school-reading-worm-slug-maggot-and-leech/ You will need to pop the resource in your basket but it is free.  Having followed the Year Two lessons a few weeks back, I can recommend this teacher and the quality of text and teaching. You will, of course, need to supervise and support your child when accessing this.

Here is a link to her youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIr59_AmYSdDt0SQTTz3DZQ/featured?disable_polymer=1

  • Geography Project: The Uk

    Published 03/04/20, by Claire Jones

Home learning packs are making their way to you today via our wonderful Crossdale team! We hope they find you in the next few days.

In your pack there is an Easter English and maths activity pack as well as two topics (one history, one geography). For now, we would like you to focus on the geography work about the UK. Further resources and information about the history project about Captain Cook will follow in due course.

I have attached some sheets and a powerpoint from twinkl but you should have most things you need as a paper copy in your delivery. There is also a reading comprehension activity (there are three levels of difficulty so choose the one that you think is right) if you wish to do that.
