Recreating Pudding Lane

Yesterday we had our first Base mix up day where we join together with Year One for an art or DT project.

The children worked beautifully together as 'Team Workers' and created some fabulous Tudor houses. We talked about the events of the great fire of London and the children were great at explaining why the way the houses were built and positioned made the fire spread so fast.

They had to use box modelling skills and a range of collage and joining techniques. We were so impressed with the end result and,  after a little bit of finishing off, they will be on display in Pudding Lane (on top of the Year Two cupboards!).
