What a brilliant half-term!

We have had an excellent half-term in Maple Class.

The children really enjoyed learning about coal mining and its importance in our local area and the UK. They amazed me with all the brilliant knowledge they acquired throughout the topic.

In science, we learnt about the changes that materials can go through. From conducting solubility experiments, to separating mixtures, the children impressed me with their scientifiic knowledge and skills! 

To finish off the half-term, we made bags for a coal miner. Pictures attached below....

We have also been learning about suspense stories in English and I was blown away by the amazing stories that the children wrote for their hot tasks. I have attached part of these to the blog post....
