Happy Summer Holidays!

Hi Maple Class,

Happy summer holidays! I hope you all have a fantastic time with lots of fun, and rest!

Here are a couple of summer tasks that I would like you to complete over the holidays before Year Five!

Maths:

Please continue to practice your times tables using TTRS 3-4 times a week! I know you are all super whizzy, so keep it up!

English:

Write about your favourite memory of the summer holidays and bring it in on the first day back. What did you do? Where did you go? Who did you go with? I can't wait to hear all about it!

Class activity

On our first day back, we have an activity that will help us improve our confident speaking skills from day 1!

"What's in the bag?"
Please bring a bag (simple canvas bag / party bag/ gift bag) to school on the first day, filled with items that will help us get to know each other! The items should be things that tell us about your likes dislikes, your hobbies, your family... you could even keep a diary recording what you have done this summer!

example: In Miss Spencer's bag, there would be....

a picture of Ziggy, my cat!

some headphones, as I love listening to music.

a diary I have kept over the summer about my holiday etc!

a football as I love playing and watching football!

my embroidery that I enjoy doing in my free time.                                                                                                           

postcards of the favourite places I have been to.
