Germs, germs, germs!

A massive "thank you" to Nurse Caroline today for coming in to talk to us about germs and hand washing! We had a brilliant morning finding out about where germs live, what can happen if these get into our bodies, and how to help keep them at bay. All the children had a go at using the 'germ machine' to study their hands - before and after. What a relief that the children followed her instructions about cleaning hands (whilst singing 'Happy Birthday' twice!) because after thorough washing the germs were significantly reduced! Children also had a go at creating a hand washing poster to remind everyone about why it is important to keep our hands clean.

What a wonderful way to enhance our 'Wonderful Me' topic.
