super Maths Lesson!

We have had a great afternoon practising telling the time.
We created our own clocks (hopefully this came home today!) and looked at a clock in terms of the physical half and quarter shapes and then talked about how half past is where the long hand points down and is physically half way around the clock but also 6 is half of 12. Trying to appeal to lots of different learning styles, I am pretty confident all children are now a bit more secure with this. We will return to this again next week to ensure we revise and better consolidate. If you have a clock at home, please continue to notice the time, especially when it is 0'clock, half past and quarter to/past.
I have also set some time activities on doodle so that the children get to practise in a different context.
