Diwali Day!

We had a wonderful day celebrating the Hindu festival of Diwali. The lovely Mrs Mistry came into school for the day and told us all about how and why Diwali is celebrated, and taught all the children in school how to stick dance!

In Base One we made delicious Diwali sweets (mithai), learned about the exciting story of Rama and Sita, made clay divas and coloured some beautiful Rangoli patterns. Below are a few photographs of our Base 1 Diwali day  :-)
