Reading and Phonics Assessments

It is already time to re-assess the children in terms of phonics and reading! This will start next week so please ensure your child's Reading Journey Book is in school so that we can update the information. As well as informing you about their new phonic group and book band level, we will also let you know where they are up to in terms of their Tricky Tracker words. This is an important element in learning to read so we are keen to get the children learning these asap. If your child can already read these words and has completed TT8 then we will inform you about how they are getting on with their spelling. We will be able to provide you with the next words they need to practise spelling so that you are able to support us at home. Look out for this in their RJ Books over half term.
