Last week we were learning all about how to write instructions and to use command sentences.

As we have been learning all about pirates, the children wrote instructions for how to make pirate hard tack, a 'tasty' treat that used to be kept in barrels for months aboard ships at sea. The children then had to follow their instructions carefully to make it!

The final product was so hard that we decided it might break our teeth if we tried to eat it!
