From Fire to ice!

Last week we not only completed some fabulous artwork to finish off our topic of the Great Fire of London but also launched our Christmas topic of The Polar Express!

The children have learnt how to mix secondary colours and have used white and black to create tints and tones and what a fantastic result! Their fiery backdrops for Pudding Lane are just spectacular!

So, moving from fire to ice we launched our new snowy topic with our Polar Express party on Thursday where the children watched the movie, enjoyed hot chocolate and marshmallows in our own imaginary carriages and then worked together to create frosty train tracks!

We had a fabulous day and it is so lovely to see how excited the children are to write their fantasy stories! 

Also a big thank you for helping the children to learn their lines for our Christmas play so quickly, we'll be practising on the stage all this week!
