Half Term Homework

A huge well done to all the children for working so hard on their reading and spellings homework all term. The children have all made fantastic progress and had a lot a fun doing so!

Over half term I hope you all have some exciting adventures and a good rest but also please do keep the reading and spelling buzz going!

I've set the children the challenge of learning to spell some of the Year One common spellings (see attached file below) and to practise their numbers bonds to 10, 20 or 100 (their target was given out at parents' evening). These are key skills which only need a few minutes here and there but really do make a difference to the children's confidence when writing or doing their maths.

It has been such a wonderful first half term with lots of great learning and fab experiences already, I really have loved every minute and hope the children have enjoyed it too! I'll post photos of our recent fire fighting fun soon, apologies for the delay (technical issues :)).

When we return we will continue our Great Fire of London topic and then will begin get "Christmassy"!

Have a fab break

Mrs Westie :)
