DT and Book week information

Details on upcoming DT projects and Book Week

Hello all,

I would like to keep you updated on a couple of busy and fun activities we have this term!

DT project: food (Making biscuits) See picture attached of the biscuit containers we made this week.

During week 3 (week beginning 7.3.22) we will be making our own biscuits, and decorating them in class too. This is linked to our current English topic of Fairy Tale writing, as we are reading Hansel and Gretel. I can't wait to see the creativity used to decorate biscuits that would look delicious on the witch's house!
Please be aware that we will provide the equipment and ingredients, so there is no need for children to bring in anything of their own. Should your child have a gluten or dairy allergy, I will be checking our school records (Scholarpak) for this information and contacting parents where appropriate.

Also, next week (week beginning 28.2.22) is Book Week! We celebrate our love of books all week through English activities and more! Please see the seesaw activity post for more details on the extra little fun things your child could do to celebrate at home.

World Book Day is a day for dressing up! We have already announced on the Crossdale News last term that in year 4 we are dressing up as Romans on the 3rd of March (Thursday). Our current class read is Thieves of Ostia by Caroline Lawrence, so we'd love to celebrate Caroline's book by dressing up as Romans on WBD. I can't wait to see what you all have prepared!
